# FAQ

**What is mclist.io**

mclist.io is a list of multiplayer servers for Minecraft Java Edition.

**How are servers ranked?**

Server rank is based on the number of active votes. Votes are reset at the beginning of each month (0:00 UTC).

**Can I remove server from the list?**

There is currently no option to remove server from the list. Servers are removed from the list automatically after some time of being offline. Unverified servers are removed after 30 days, verified after 120, promoted servers are not automatically removed.

**Someone added my server to the list, can I mark in as offline?**

mclist.io do not require any verification to add a server. Verification is only required to edit server description and setup votifier. So... unfortunately, there is no way to do it.

**How frequent servers are checked?**

That depends on server status (unverified, owned, promoted), ping task is running every 10 seconds. There are 3 queues: All servers (pinged if last ping was at least 20 minutes ago), Owned/Verified servers (if last ping was at least 5 minutes ago) and Promoted servers (if last ping was at least minute ago).

**Do you have any logo that can I use on my website?**

Yes, please check [website assets](/mclist.io-wiki/assets-to-use-on-your-website.md)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.mclist.io/mclist.io-wiki/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
